Op dat moment was er niet veel concurrentie op de markt en groeide het bedrijf snel. Klanten werden ook over de grens geworven, eerst in Duitsland, maar al snel gevolgd door Frankrijk en Zwitserland. Rimba was founded in 1971 and is located in Etten-Leur, a village in the south of the Netherlands. The founder of Rimba was a successful businessman who traded in luxury perfumes. By chance he learned about the demand for erotic clothing and sex articles, something that was not so obvious in those years.
